THE San Miguel Beermen held the Barangay Ginebra scoreless in the last four minutes and pulled off a 99-88 victory last night in Game 3 of the 2017 PBA PH Cup best-of-seven finals series at the Araneta Coliseum.

Taking a 2-1 series lead, San Miguel ended the game with a 17-0 run with Chris Ross and Cebuano big man June Mar Fajardo scoring the bulk of the game-sealing attack.

Ross finished with 24 points, seven of them he made in the telling run.

Fajardo added six points in that rally to end the game with 17 points, 18 rebounds and three blocked shots.

The Beermen will try to inch closer to winning their 23rd title when they shoot for a crucial win in Game 4 set on Friday.

The Beermen took a 69-66 lead into the fourth, but behind the hot three-point shooting of rookie Kevin Ferrer, the Kings zoomed ahead and erected an 86-82 lead with 5:22 left.

Ginebra was still ahead, 88-87, in the final 4:01 mark but didn’t score since then.

Aside from Fajardo and Ross, two other Beermen scored in twin digits.

Alex Cabagnot tallied 20 markers, while Marcio Lassiter chipped in 16.

LA Tenorio paced Ginebra with 16 points, Ferrer added 15, while Japeth Aguilar and Chris Ellis donated 12 apiece.
