AGENTS of the Philippine Drug enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA-7) arrested six persons in two separate drug busts in Consolacion town and Talisay City.

James Visabella, 27; Caryle Pontillas, 29; and Kareen Escaldero, 24 were arrested after they allegedly sold a pack of shabu to an undercover agent in Barangay Poblacion Occidental, Consolacion town, Thursday dawn.

They did not resist arrest, said PDEA-7 spokesperson Leia Albiar.

Seized from the suspects were 30 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic packs containing 10 grams of suspected shabu worth P30,000.

Hours earlier, at around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, PDEA-7 agents also arrested Bernie Rosagenia, 43; Michael Masiglat, 55; and Louie Ali, 28 in an operation in Barangay Bulacao, Talisay City.

Recovered from their possession were packs of shabu weighing 190 grams worth P470,000.

Charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, particularly for selling illegal drugs, will be filed against all the suspects.

The offense is non-bailable.

The suspects denied the accusations against them, saying they were not involved in any illegal activity.

The suspects are detained at the PDEA-7 detention cell pending the filing of charges against them.
