EVERYTHING is set for the 40th edition of the highly successful Pinoy Pride boxing series, featuring a world title showdown between Donnie ‘Ahas’ Nietes and Thai world ranked number four Komgrich Nantapech.

The gigantic fight will be held on April 29 at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

At stake in the card billed as “Donnie-Nation” is the IBF world flyweight title.

“It’s good to fight again here in Cebu because 10 years ago, I won my first world title here, specifically at the Waterfront. It feels extra special for me so I promise all boxing fans that I will win the fight convincingly,” said Nietes (39W-1L-4D- 22KOs) in a press conference held earlier at Saint Mark’s Hotel.

A successful outing Nantapech (22W-3L-0D-15KOs) will make Nietes a three-division world champion.
