CEBU Football Association’s (CFA) squads in the Festival of Football (FOF) in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental were off to sizzling starts as they won all their matches last Saturday.
In the boys under-15 division, CFA opened its campaign with a 3-1 victory against Negros Oriental (NORFA) then followed it up with a 3-0 win against Leyte Football Association (LFA). CFA also escaped the Iloilo FootIloilo ball Association (IFA), 1-0.
In the girls under-15, CFA won all of its two matches scheduled last Saturday. The team edged Negros Occidental Football Association (NOFA), 6-1, then beat IFA, 5-1.
CFA’s boys under-13 squad was just as hot as it crushed NORFA, 15-0, then tamed IFA, 4-2.
Capping off its hot start was its girls’ under-13 team, which beat NOFA twice, 10-1 and 10-2, and routed NORFA, 4-1.
The three-day football tournament is organized by the Philippine Football Federation.
