JUNTAY Bardillas exploded for a game-high 42 points to lead Team Abellana over Team Black, 118-108, in the championship round of the Dumlog Basketball Summer League on Saturday night in Barangay Dumlog, Talisay City, southern Cebu.
Bardillas, who went on to win the the Most Valuable Player award, got some help from Digoy Villanueva and Jhundel Bacastigue, who combined for 41.
Cris Saban paced Team Black with 32 points, while Brian Moldi and Arman Largo added 23 and 19, respectively.
In the battle for third place, multi-titled cyclist Jun Duron flashed his hardcourt brilliance, firing 30 points to lead Team Bisnar to an 88-87 victory over Team Orange.
