LOOKING to end a long drought, the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) girls and women’s volleyball teams will be holding a five-day tryout to find the right players for the upcoming season of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi).
The tryout will begin today from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the USPF Gym.
Last year, the USPF girls team struggled mightily as it failed to notch a victory in the entire season.
The women’s team, on the other hand, has not made a major impact since its championship run in the 2012 beach volleyball.
USPF is hoping to find players possessing the “big 3Ds.”
“We are looking to acquire players who has the determination, dedication and discipline,” said USPF girls and women’s mentor Yolanda Rizarri.
