Three caught in pot session
THREE men were arrested by police for holding a pot session in a shanty in Barangay Calajoan, Minglanilla town southern Cebu at 3:30 p.m. last Saturday.
Arrested were 46-year-old Agapito Palasan Jr.; 50-year-old Eusebio Engracial; and 32-year-old Ronnie Velosa — all residents of Center Calajoan in Minglanilla town.
Supt. Dexter Calacar, Minglanilla police chief, said they were after Palasan whom they has been monitoring for more than a week.
He said they merely chanced upon the two other suspects who were with Palasan at the time. “Palasan is said to be pushing drugs recently in Calahoan,” Calacar said.
He said their informants told them that Palasan would often hold pot sessions at the shanty in the afternoon.
Calacar said they confiscated one small unopened sachet of shabu, one opened sachet and drug paraphernalia inside the shanty.
Charges will be filed against the three men today.
