Honda Cars Cebu Inc. searching for ‘oldest Civic’

GOT A HONDA Civic car that has survived the test of time? Then flaunt it.

In celebration of its 25th year anniversary, Honda Cars Cebu Inc. (HCCI) will be holding the “Search for the oldest Honda Civic in town.”
Since it was released in 1992, Honda Civic cars are still one of the most visible car models on the road up until this time.

“We wanna showcase the value proposition of Honda that it is a very durable car. A 25-year-old car still running, that should be durable,” said HCCI general manager Alec Bucao in explaining the objective of the search.

The search will run from April 1-7. Participating owners are advised to bring their cars to the HCCI office on A. Soriano Street along North Reclamation Area, Cebu City.

Owners must present proof of ownership and register at the Customer Relations Department to become an official participant. Imported units are not qualified.

A panel of judges will select the top three cars. The overall winner will get a free overnight stay for two at the Shangri-la Mactan Island Resort and Spa and a free interior/exterior detailing. The other two winners will get free interior/exterior detailing.

The criteria for judging are as follows: 40 percent for the Honda Civic oldest model and in good running condition; 30 percent for superb exterior look and 30 percent for the highest mileage.

The awarding of winners will be on April 10. Also on that day, HCCI will be holding its “recognition day” where the company’s top performing employees for 2016 will be feted.
