BOGO City completed a clean sweep in its three-game assignment on Bantayan Island after it tripped Madridejos, 94-81, in the 2017 Cebu Governor’s Cup 21-&-Under Inter-Cities/Municipalities Basketball Tournament last Sunday night at the Barangay Ocoy Covered Court in Sta. Fe town, northern Cebu.

With the win, Bogo tightened its hold of the top spot in the North Division Bracket 3 as it now has three wins in as many games.

Justine Valenzuela showed the way for Bogo with a game-high 29 points, 12 coming in the first quarter where the winning team started pulling away.
Also winning in the northern games were Medellin and Bantayan.

Medellin pocketed its first win in two outings with a 103-86 over San Remigio (0-3), while Bantayan improved to 2-1 by blasting Sta. Fe (2-1).

In the South Division Bracket 1, Talisay City stayed unbeaten in two matches via a 76-58 beating of the City of Naga at the Minglanilla Sports Complex.

Minglanilla, for its part, notched its second victory by mangling Argao (1-1), 116-84.

Improving to 1-1 were the San Fernando Spartans, who trampled Sibonga (0-2), 90-74.
