Cebuanos were intrigued by the fate of Supt. Maria Christina Nobleza, the police official arrested with a suspected Abu Sayyaf bandit at a checkpoint in Clarin town, Bohol province.
Siloy’s pal noted that were it not for her alleged romantic involvement with the Abu Sayyaf bandit, her career would have taken off since she was due for promotion according to reports.
He also noted that unlike Sen. Leila de Lima, whose alleged drug links have yet to be proven by the government, Nobleza was caught redhanded by the police.
BOMBS AWAY
Armchair military analysts were at it again after learning about the latest encounter between government troops and Abu Sayyaf bandits that left three/four more of the bandits dead.
One such self-proclaimed “expert” said the Philippine military could have used a “MOAB” (Massive Ordnance Air Blast) bomb similar to one used in Afghanistan to finish off the bandits even if they hid in their cave hideout.
His friend, another “expert”, retorted that the military couldn’t afford to provide decent uniforms to its soldiers, let alone buy the most powerful non-nuclear bomb in the US military’s disposal.
AVOIDING “SEXTORTION”
A broadcaster who voiced disgust over an alleged sextortion attempt by a young man on a woman gave some unsolicited advice to ladies who post revealing photos on their Facebook account.
On the off chance that these ladies would make the mistake of posting their “sexy videos” in their social media accounts, the broadcaster advised them to turn off the lights before doing the dirty deed.
“That way, makadungog lang sila, di makatan-aw (they can only hear, not see),” the broadcaster said.
