SHARPSHOOTER LIKE CARDO
An military officer was contacted for an interview by a reporter to ask for more information into the death of Abu Sayyaf member Saad Samad Kiram in Bohol.
But the officer said he did not know anything and instead asked the reporter about what the latter knew.
When he was told by the reporter that the information received by the media in Cebu was that Kiram was killed while trying to escape from the police and that he had several gunshot wounds, including one between the eyes, the officer commented:
“Parehas diay ni Cardo, sharpshooter (The policeman must be like Cardo, a sharpshooter).”
The military officer was referring to the character played by popular actor Coco Martin in the top-rating television action-drama series titled “Ang Probinsyano.”
IT’S THE CLIMB
A group of friends went to a resort in southern Cebu to enjoy a relaxing and fun summer vacation.
Prior to their departure, they were all excited especially when they search the place on the internet and found several photos showing the beauty of the place.
However, they were not prepared for the obstacle they had to face just to reach the private resort.
“Kutas kaayo. Laliman ka’g saka-kanaog og 250 steps. Mora kag nitungas og Mt. Apo,” one said. (It was so exhausting. We had to go up and down 250 steps. It was like climbing Mt. Apo.)
In the end, they still enjoyed their vacation. But they still have body aches even after they have returned to the city.
