CEBUANO duathlete and national team member Joland Olmilla has decided to skip the DX3 Dirt Cross Triathlon to take part in this Sunday’s Dipolog 104 Triathlon in Dipolog City.
Olmilla of Omega Pro Triathlon won his first triathlon title last month in the Baybay 8080 Triathlon. He told CDN that he won’t be joining the DX3 Dirth Cross Triathlon in Bogo which is also slated this Sunday.
Nonetheless, the 24-year-old duathlete, who started doing triathlon just this year, is hoping to continue his winning tradition as he expects a tough field in Dipolog.
“As of now, I can’t say if I can win the championship because triathlon is very different compared to duathlon. My swim is really weak but I will do my best to make up for it on the bike and run,” Olmilla added.
