LESS THAN a week after pulling off a championship victory in the Saulog 2017 Spike Fest volleyball tournament, the Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) Magis Eagles are back in action as they started their campaign in the 3rd JGM 17-under girls volleyball invitational tournament yesterday in Bacolod.
The Magis Eagles, who are coming off a 25-18, 22-25, 26-24 win over the Bohol Institute of Technology in the Saulog volleyball finals last Saturday, are off to a hot start in Bacolod as they survived the Trinity Christian School (TCS), 26-24, 26-24, in their opening game.
The feat was impressive, considering that the Cebu team was coming off a long trip to Bacolod.
“The girls may have been tired but their exposure to tight games made them gain control over a tough competition,” said Magis Eagles mentor Mario Sala.
SHS-AdC, which is grouped in Pool B along with TCS, Bacolod Tay Tung High School-B (BTTS-B) and Colegio San Agustin – Bacolod, will be battling BTTS-B today.
