IN THE hopes of developing and promoting football in Cebu, the Cebu International School (CIS), together with Fundlife International, will bring in world-class coaches from the Premier League and host a six-day camp dubbed as the Arsenal FC Summer Clinic starting June 12 at the CIS Soccer Field in Pit-os, Talamban, Cebu City.
The coaches who will be present in the camp are Arsenal mentors Joe Mackenzie and Esther Mano, who are English Football Level 1 and 2 coaches, respectively.
“The goal of the camp is to offer children professional coaching by FA qualified coaches, aiding their development and also promoting football in Cebu.
A social aim is to have the tournament at the end and open up community teams with more access to football,” said Marko Kasic of Fundlife International.
The training camp is open to everyone and will feature 10 training sessions with each session lasting one hour and 30 minutes. There will also be a tournament that will serve as a concluding event for the clinic.
“The tournament is a chance for kids to have a fun culminating event. We also hope to invite teams communities in Cebu to join the tournament and have some small prizes,” Kasic added.
Interested participants may contact CIS Sports & Activities Director Ace Pierra at 0917-518-9353 for details. Deadline for registration is on June 2.
