CEBUANO guard Macmac Tallo showed the rest of the nation what the hype is all about as he put on a scintillating debut in leading the Racal Motors Alibaba to a 118-100 defeat of AMA Online Education in the 2017 PBA D-League Foundation Cup yesterday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
The former two-time MVP of the Cesafi fired in 20 points, 15 of which came in a sizzling first half shooting display that saw him can four three-pointers. He also had four assists and three rebounds in a reserve role.
“I was really surprised kasi expectation ko, maganda ipapakita ko pero mas maganda pa. Salamat kay Lord kasi He answered my prayers,” said the ex-Southwestern University standout.
Racal head coach Jerry Codinera also came away impressed with his ward’s performance and wished for more of the same in the coming games.
“Impressive si Mac sa first game nya sa amin. I hope he continues to do that,” said coach Codiñera.
Janus Lozada chipped in 17 markers, while Jam Cortez got 15 points and five boards for the Alibaba.
