The kidnapping and killing of Bien Unido, Bohol, Mayor Gisela Boniel that was linked to her husband, Bohol Provincial Board Member Niño Rey Boniel, came as a shock to everyone.

One netizen, Aracap Ako, wrote: “Niño Rey Boniel was the former mayor and he has pending liquidations at the Commission on Audit during his administration.”
