OVER Limit Jiu-Jitsu Association bagged the most gold medals at stake in last Saturday’s 2017 Asian Sport Jiu-Jitsu Federation (ASJJF) Dumau International Open Championships at the SM Seaside City Cebu.
The Cebu-based Over Limit team collected 18 gold medals that went with 23 silvers and 10 bronze medals in the 62-category tournament.
Deftac Ribeiro Philippines raked in 16 golds, 16 silver medals and 14 bronze medals, while Atos Philippines won 12 golds , seven silver medals and nine bronze medals.
Over Limit’s gold medalists were Jinani Agbayani Jr. (white belt youth featherweight), Enzo Damaolao (white belt youth super heavyweight), Gyeongryun Lee (white belt pre-teen roosterweight), Jashryl Abadilla (white belt pre-teen featherweight), Hezekiah ekain Esposo (male grey belt pre-teen lightweight), Margareth grace Narbuada (female white junior teen lightweight), Kristian John Cocon (male grey belt teen middleweight), William Vincent Tan (male white belt medium heavyweight), Gian Sebastian Lucero (male blue belt adult roosterweight), Karl Uy (white belt master light featherweight), Odie Damaolao (white belt master medium heavyweight), Barthelemy Gregory (blue belt master featherweight), William Basmayor (purple master light featherweight), Yunseo Song (female white pre-teen lightweight), Micah Danielle Tormon (female white belt teen rooster weight), Dhyna Rose Gonzaga (female white belt adult light featherweight), Maricar Villegas (female white belt adult featherweight) and Analily Lao (female white belt adult medium heavyweight).
The gold medalists of Deftac Riberio were headed by Jonathan Ehilla Narisma and Jakub Bilko who won gilts each. Narisma topped the blue belt master open weight and master middleweight divisions, while Bilko dominated the male purple belt’s adult open weight and adult super heavyweight.
The rest of Deftac Ribeiro’s gold medalists were Maria Aisa Ratcliff, Junna Airam De la Rosa, Apple Jane Ramos, Kristah Marie Dumancas, Walter Garcia Jr., Raymond Varilla, Michael John Aquino, Niño Aposaga , Philip Alegre, Rhyle Lugo, Lancelot Daniel Gacasan and Travis Ratcliff.
Atos Philippines gold medalists was headed by Paul Juarez, who snatched two golds by topping the male purple belt masters heavyweight and masters open weight divisions.
