PSEi loses 68 points last week

THE Philippine Stock Exchange index lost 68.06 points or 0.8 percent for the week.

This developed after the local stock barometer slipped 44.17 points or 0.56 percent to close at 7,814.17 last Friday ahead of the long weekend break and volatile crude oil prices continued to curb investors’ risk-taking.

“Shares were dragged down with US stocks declining, oil prices slumping into a bear market, and the unexpected inclusion of China’s A-shares into the MSCI index.

The property counter led Friday’s decline as it fell by 1.69 percent. The financial, industrial, holding firm and services counters also slipped.
