A STAR-STUDDED cast that includes current and past national team members will headline the 7th leg of the Beach Volleyball Republic (BVR), which fires off this Friday at the Basdaku White Beach in Moalboal town southwestern Cebu.
Among those who have confirmed their participation in the two-day competition is the duo of reigning men’s champion Jade Becaldo and Rommel Pepito of Cebu-A, who ruled the BVR Ilocos Leg last month.
Also playing are current national team member Bryan Bagunas and James Natividad of National University, Kent Jay Verbosidad and Alastair Gairanod of University of San Jose-Recoletos’ (USJ-R)-A, Jobert Daño and Ariel Gabunada of USJ-R-B and rookie Dan Garnica and Jason Reyes of the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF).
Meanwhile, the women’s division will be led by BVR’s Bea Tan and Charo Soriano, USJ-R A’s Paula Maninang and Linlyn Torado, USJ-R B’s Jessa Jorquia and Venus Sanchez, USPF A’s Tracy Cortes and Gloria Mates, USPF B’s Ressel Pedroza and Ruchie Melancolico and Cebu’s Floremel Rodriguez and Therese Ramas.
Completing the women’s division are University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos’ Alexa Polidario and Erjane Magdato, JRC Dipolog’s Renefel Gata and Grace Barrica, Dhannalyn Mae Demontaño and Jackielyn Estoquia of Tata Woodcraft and University of St. La Salle’s Rosel Sy and Julyna Villanueva.
