IN ITS BID to cater to its customers from the south, Chevrolet Cebu opened a service center at the North Reclamation Area in Cebu City last week.
The opening of the new service center, which is around 2,500 square meters, is expected to ease the volume of customers in Chevrolet Cebu’s dealership along MC Briones corner R. Colina Street in Mandaue City.
“The new service center will be more accessible to our customers from Cebu City and the south,” said Franklyn Ong, president and CEO of Genesis Motors Corporation which owns Chevrolet Cebu. “We have a lot of customers from the south who have a difficult time traveling to Mandaue because of the worsening traffic. So we opened this to cater to them.”
Ong said that the new service center was really needed since almost half of their clients are from the south and Cebu City.
He added that they chose not to include a showroom at the moment since they regularly hold roadshows in different parts of Cebu..
“We can reach [potential buyers] through roadshows so [selling] is not a problem. The problem is the ownership experience. We want to give the best ownership experience to Chevrolet owners. We opened this for them,” Ong added.
The new facility also houses a storage area for units they can use during roadshows in different malls.
