NIÑO Belande came up with a brilliant all-around game to power the Supportsave Dragons to their second straight win via a 73-47 spanking of the Telstra Boomerangs last Sunday in the Elite Classic of the Tanduay Athletics E-Leagues for Basketball Season 13 at the City Sports Club Cebu-Gym.Belande, last year’s Finals and Season MVP in the EVO League, collected 23 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, three steals and a block as the Dragons padded their winning streak to 18 dating back to last season.

Supportsave went 16-0 (win-loss) in winning the EVO League crown last year—a feat that enabled them to move up to the tougher Elite Classic.
Germaine Jo Guarisma scored 18 points and Justin Marie Mier added 10 for the Dragons, who started their campaign with a 68-45 win over the SSI Warriors.
Jaygard Vios fired 15 points, while Cris Daryl Yap pitched in 11 for the Boomerangs, who slid to 0-2.
The Teleperformance All Stars, on the other hand, pulled off a merciless 84-30 drubbing of SSI Warriors.
Leading the 54-point massacre was Mon Xavier Dico, who nailed 17 points. Teleperformance also got 11 and 10 markers from Rahne Laborte and Nicholai James Vendiola, respectively.
SSI heavily struggled offensively that it had no player scoring in double figures.
In the other Elite Classic match, the Wipro Tigers survived the Sykes Pioneers behind Al De Los Santos Jr., Randol Espinosa and Pol Alfeche, who combined for 31 points.
The trio also connived for 19 rebounds, five assists and three steals.
Paul Ivan Sanchez paced the Pioneers with 13 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two assists.
In the lone EVO League match, The Results Spartans banked on Jade Seno to topple the Dyninno Jets, 62-52.
Seno wound up with 23 points, five rebounds, five steals and three assists. He was backed by Aldrin Ople, who charted 16 markers.
Kenneth Babor and Eubil Balbuena topped Dyninno with 12 markers each, while Armalon Fernandez contributed 10 points.
