All set for CBX Anniversary Run

THE CBX CORPORATION Anniversary Run will be using a unique format come race day on July 23.

The fun run, held in line with the 30th anniversary celebration of IT hardware merchandising company CBX Corporation, starts and ends at the Pescadores road of the Cebu Business Park.

Wilbert Lim, one of CBX Corporation’s management heads, revealed during a press conference yesterday that participants can register for a certain distance but can actually run in any of the three distances offered—3k, 6k or 12k.

“In this race, one can run 12k even if he registered in the 6k or 3k. It’s up to you if you want to finish it or go for the shorter distance. It’s more fun and less pressure for you,” said Lim in the launching yesterday at the Casino Español, adding that sales marketing and branch manager Myrna Rañola thought of the fartlek method for the race.

Race director Joel Juarez of Coco Running, however, clarified that a runner can only win if he or she finishes in the top three of the category he or she registered in.

There will be no cash prizes but there will be IT hardware and brand new mobile phones waiting for the top three finishers in each distance.

The proceeds of this running event will go to CBX Corporation’s charity works in Carreta Elementary School and Home Care Center for Children in Lapu-lapu City.

Registration is going on at the CBX branches in North Reclamation Area (NRA) and Osmeña Boulevard as well as Toby’s Sports in SM City Cebu and SM Seaside City and Runnr in Ayala Center Cebu.

Registration fee is pegged at P450. L
