THIRTY traffic enforcers in Mandaue City will soon be deputized as they have completed the training conducted by the Traffic Mobile Unit (TMU) of Mandaue Traffic Division from July 11 to 13 at the Department of Education building in Mandaue.
The deputation will allow traffic enforcers to make a sketch during vehicular accident and immediately pull out vehicles involved in the accident to avoid traffic.
“Dako kaayo ni og ikatabang aron ma-pull out dayon nato ang mga nadisgrasya nga sakyanan (This will be of great help so that vehicles involved in vehicular accidents will be pulled out immediately),” said Traffic Enforcement Agency of Mandaue (Team) head Glenn Antigua.
Antigua explained that if there’s an accident, it would take around 30 minutes to an hour before the vehicles are pulled out. But with the additional 30 deputized traffic enforcers who will assist the TMU personnel in investigating road accidents, it may just take around five minutes to pull out vehicles.
The riders, team leaders, traffic engineering and some traffic enforcers will be among the 30 who will be deputized by TMU.
The 30 traffic enforcers are just waiting for the signing of the memorandum of agreement, which was already arranged through the City Council, before their deputation becomes official.
