A YOUNG woman committed suicide at a house she shared with a common-law partner in Purok Dabong, Sitio Landing, Barangay Catarman in Lilo-an town on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The 25-year-old victim reportedly killed herself after her partner accused her of allegedly having an affair with the manager of a motorcycle dealership.
SPO2 Andrew Relliano of the Liloan police said the woman’s common-law partner failed to pay the monthly amortization for a motorcycle he purchased from the dealer’s outlet. The woman reportedly called up her partner and warned that she would kill herself if he didn’t come home and settle his account, according to Relliano.
The girl’s mother went to the house at 9 p.m. of July 19 and saw her hanging inside her closet. The young woman was rushed to the hospital but died a short time later, Relliano said.
