AFTER an exhausting travel from Cebu to Chihuahua, Mexico, unbeaten Cebuano boxer Jessie Cris Rosales gamely entertained Mexican boxing fans by appearing in a public workout just a day after he arrived.

Rosales of the Omega Boxing Gym will face former Mexican world champion and WBC Latino Super Featherweight champion Johnny Gonzales on Sunday (Manila time).

The 25-year-old Rosales, a native of Danao City, north Cebu, is one of Omega Boxing Gym’s fast-rising boxers who has an unblemished record of 21-0-0 (win-loss-draw) with nine knockout victories.

Gonzales, a former two-division world champion, holds a record of 63-10-0 with 53 KOs.

After the public workout, Gonzales and Rosales officially met and posed for the cameras to promote their fight.

This is going to be the second foreign foray for Rosales, who beat Japanese fighter Ibuki Tanaka in Thailand on May 6, 2016.
