Regional police to raise police visibility, cleansing ranks

The recently installed chief of the Police Regional Office (PRO-7) reiterated anew his promise to raise police visibility to maximize their efforts to go after illegal drug dealers and criminals.

Chief Supt. Jose Mario Espino, PRO-7 chief, said this hours before President Rodrigo Duterte delivered his second State of the Nation Address (SONA).

“We will know how far our campaign against drugs has reached, but on my part, I think we have accomplished the campaign,” Espino said. He also confirmed that the president made good on his promise  to raise the salaries of the police.

“Doon tumaas ang aming morale. That is why we are very bent on helping the president on his vision for a drug-free Philippines,” (That raised our morale),” Espino said.

While there are still a lot of bad eggs, Espino said the police is working to cleanse their ranks of these scalawags
