Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña’s comment about a failure of intelligence as the reason for the imposition of martial law in Mindanao caused some netizens to remind him to focus on Cebu rather than make comments on Mindanao.
A netizen named Rissa Beyer wrote, “Tomas Osmeña, Please forget Mindanao. Focus on your job as mayor of Cebu and give solutions to Traffic, flooding, too much buildings, and no more open spaces.”
Another netizen named Luzel Jay Mantos Sasing commented, “Unya na pang hinaway sa uban kung nindot na ang CEBU (Criticize later when Cebu gets better).”
Stefanie Billona also said, “Mayor, Please tarunga sa ang Cebu, labi na ang sidewalk sa syudad para ma agi-an na ang mga sidewalks na gi occupy sa mga vendors (please fix Cebu especially the city sidewalks so they can be accessible since they are occupied by vendors).”
