ALDEN Cuaresma made crucial free throws down the stretch to lead the Panthers to an 80–76 win over the Rhinos in the championship game of the Elite Basketball Club – Toledo Season 2 last Friday at the CEDC Multipurpose Gym in Toledo City.
Cuaresma finished with 17 points, and his freebies in the final minute helped the Panthers seal the game and the crown. Ismael Cañete was named Finals MVP as he had 26 points for the Panthers.
Alique Visitacion led the Rhinos with 21 points. Reynaldo Algarme and Landrenie Alcantara chipped in 14 and 11, respectively.
