Netizens praised Cebu Gov. Hilario Davide III’s decision to sack all 10 guards of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) for allowing inmates to smuggle drugs and contraband inside the facility.
A netizen named Arthur Pacaldo wrote, “Kanang mga staff elese tanan. Ug ang mga delivery tanan sa pagkaon ayaw pasudla duol sa kitchen. Kay basen dha gekan ang mga (The staff should go. And all deliveries of food should not enter the kitchen since it’s likely where they smuggle the) items.”
Alan Schmidt also commented: “The government should fire them and charge them criminally.”
Christopher Toring said, “Tungod nila wa na ma undang ang ilang mga illegal trade. Da ranag samok sila (Because of them, the illegal drug trade doesn’t stop. They’re all troublesome).”
