SG-ARQ ousted the two-time defending champions Team Samsam Gullas, 95-88, while San Remigio tamed Fighter Wine, 94-84, to return to the finals after winning the first edition of this tournament a decade ago.
After a nip-and-tuck battle, the Builders staged a huge rally down the stretch behind the offensive brilliance of Ferdinand Lusdoc, Eman Calo and ex-pro Reed Juntilla to pull away, secure the win and snag a spot in the finals.
Lusdoc finished the game with 29 points while Calo had 21 markers, spiked by five three-point shots. Juntilla added 14.
The championship game, which rewards a whopping P110,000 to the winner, was being played as of presstime.
In the other semis game, six different players led by Harold Cincoflores and Paul Desiderio, scored in double-figures to propel San Remigio past their opponents. Cincoflores had 18, Desiderio finished with 16 while James Regalado chipped in 14.
