THE ORGANIZERS of the recent Cobra IronMan 70.3 Philippines donated P250,000 and 30 medicine cabinets to Bankal National High School in Lapu-Lapu City yesterday.
The donations were initiated by Sunrise Events, Inc. (SEI) and Children’s Hour Philippines Foundation, Inc.
Present during the turnover were officials from SEI, some triathletes who competed in Sunday’s race, and school officials.
This is the fourth straight year SEI has chosen Children’s Hour Philippines Foundation Inc as its beneficiary.
“Anything that we can do, big or small, to help the youth through Children’s Hour, we try to do (it),” said SEI CEO/founder Fred Uytengsu, who is also a trustee of the Children’s Hour Philippines Foundation Inc. “We’re all about supporting the youth. I really believe the future is the youth.”
The group also held a tree-planting activity in the school grounds.
Last year, SEI also donated P250,000 cash aid and 50 school bags with shoes and supplies to the Marigondon Elementary School in Lapu-Lapu City.
