A 64-year-old property developer was arrested in his residence in Barangay Bulacao, Talisay City on Friday afternoon.

Supt. Joie Jape, chief of the Provincial Intelligence Branch, together with the Talisay policemen served seventeen warrants of arrest against the suspect, Pedro Cabunillas, for the crime of estafa.

The warrants were issued by six branches in court, including branches 2 and 18 in Cebu City, branches 57 and 58 in Lapu-Lapu City, and branches 66 and 63 in Talisay City. The bail recommended for all the estafa charges is half a million pesos.

Cabunillas blamed his former employee who got angry at him and his two brothers as the one responsible for his arrest. He did not elaborate though.

Yape said that aside from the 17 warrants of arrest, Cabunillas might have some other victims who have yet to come out in the open, thus Yape invited them to come to their office and file a complaint.
