JONAS “Zorro” Sultan is confident he can beat ex two-division world champion Johnriel “Quadro Alas” Casimero in their showdown in the Pinoy Pride 42: Clash For Glory on Sept. 16 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

Sultan, the IBF inter-continental super flyweight champion, will fight Casimero for the right to fight fellow Filipino and IBF world super flyweight king Jerwin Ancajas in one of the triple-header main events in the Pinoy Pride 42.

“He has not encountered a boxer like me. I have the style, I have the speed and power to beat him,” said the 25-year-old Zamboanga del Norte native Sultan. “This is the biggest fight of my career but I am ready to face him in the ring.”

Casimero is the former IBF flyweight and light flyweight champion who sports a record of 24 wins with 15 knockouts, three defeats and no draws.

Last Saturday, Sultan (13-3-0, 9KOs) along with fellow ALA Boxing Gym boxers strut their wares in a public workout held at the SM City Cebu to promote their upcoming fight.

“He is a world champion but I have a big chance to beat him because I have the talent. I am a hundred percent ready for this fight. I trained for two months and sparred with great boxers like Milan Melindo, Arthur Villanueva and other ALA Boxing Gym boxers that’s why I am confident of winning this fight.”
