DAVID LIM’S NOT GUILTY PLEA
Road rage shooting suspect David Lim Jr. had pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to charges of frustrated homicide of Ephraim Nuñal.
Lim and Nuñal were involved in a traffic altercation on March 19. Lim shot and wounded Nuñal. The suspect is the nephew of controversial entrepreneur Peter Lim.
People on Facebook and Twitter were quick to share their perspectives on the issue.
ArrayCf Inno raised a question: “If he wasn’t born rich, would he still be this brave?”
Gil Jr Quirino, for his part, tweeted: “How in the world is he pleading not guilty? So, the gun pulled its own trigger?”
Jose Rafael Alosbaños, shared on Twitter. “There is a solid evidence against him. How did he have the guts to plead not guilty. If he wins, I won’t trust the justice in the country anymore.”
Nicole Estrella, having read the heated exchange of opinions about the issue, tried to clarify Lim’s plea. “When a suspect issues a plea, that does not mean the case has been solved. It is in fact, the start of the real investigation. All accused have the right to plead guilty or not guilty.”
