Morisette Amon to represent PH in Asia Song Festival

IT’S Kapamilya singer and Cebuana Morissette Amon’s turn to make not just Cebu but the whole Philippines proud.

Amon is set to join the Asia Song Festival 2017 in Busan, South Korea and will be the country’s official representative to the competition.

Amon, on her Instagram (@itsmorisette) announced on Aug. 14, Monday, about her participation in the Asia Song Festival 2017 next month.

“Thrilled to share with all of you that I will be representing PH for #AsiaSongFestival next month in Korea!! Thank you, Lord!Let’s do this!”

As of 10 a.m. Tuesday, Amon’s Instagram post gained 2,219 likes from her followers.

Among those who showed their support by leaving positive comments on her post are fellow singers TJ Monterde and Daryl Ong. Amon joined the first season of “The Voice of the Philippines” in 2013 as part of Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo’s Team Sarah.

She is seen every Sunday as one of the ASAP’s Birit Queens.  To recall, the Philippines’ representatives for the past years for the Asia Song Festival were MYMP (2016) and Sabrina (2015).

The Asia Song Festival is annually held in South Korea and hosted by the Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange (KOFICE).

Other international artists who are featured in this year’s Asia Song Festival are Nakashima Mika (Japan), MOCCA (Japan), MICappella (Singapore), SHAE (Indonesia), Zara Larsson (Sweden), Dong Nhi (Vietnam) while South Korea’s line-up includes Dynamic Duo, TAEYEON, MAMAMOO, and The EastLight.  The event will be hosted by LeeTeuk of Super Junior and Jackson of GOT7.
