POWERHOUSE teams University of Cebu (UC) and University of San Carlos (USC) logged convincing victories in the 2017 Philippine Taekwondo League – Cebu last Saturday at SM Consolacion.
The UC jins chalked up their second straight victory, beating Southwestern University (SWU), 49-19, in the junior boys’ sparring competition for a 2-0 (win-loss) slate.
USC, on the other hand, won in the senior men’s division over the University of Visayas (UV), 74-28, for a 1-0 record.
Poomsae
In the poomsae category, the Xanadu gym won over Ateneo de Cebu in the freestyle team division.
But Ateneo bounced back in its second assignment of the day and beat SWU in the same freestyle team action.
On Sept. 3, UV will test the University of San Jose – Recoletos in the senior women’s division while St. Cecilia’s College will tangle with Xanadu Gym in the junior boys’ category.
