P5M worth of drugs seized in Ermita

At least P5 million worth of illegal drugs was recovered from a couple suspected of selling shabu in Barangay Ermita, Cebu City on Monday, August 28.

The buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA-7) resulted to the arrest of Norman Cristobal.  Jovelyn Cristobal, the wife of Norman, eluded arrest.

According to PDEA-7 spokesperson Leia Albiar, the female suspect was the main target of the operation. Jovelyn has been under surveillance for several months.

The Cristobal couple will be facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
