Rider Omega Pro Tri Team wins three titles in Davao

The Cebu-based Rider Omega Pro Tri Team bagged three titles in the Kadayawan Triathlon 2017 in Davao City last Sunday.

Winners for Rider Omega Pro Tri Team were Paul Jumamil (men’s sprint distance), Karen Andrea Manayon (women’s sprint distance) and Moira Frances Erediano (kids division 13-15 years).

Jumamil, who hails from Bohol, won the men’s sprint distance by clocking one hour, two minutes and 11 seconds. He outlasted Joshua Alexander Ramos of Podium Boutique Hotel Tri Team (1:06.40) and Godwin Jacob Taylor of Caltex-Delo Tribu (1:07.46), who finished second and third, respectively.

Manayon, Rider Omega Pro Tri Team’s junior triathlete, ruled the women’s sprint distance category by crossing the finish line in 1:11.52. Her runners up were Nicole Danielle Eijansantos of Podium Boutique Hotel Tri Team (1:12.34) and teammate En Torres (1:18.49).

The sprint distance is 750-meter swim, 20k bike and 5k run.

Erediano, meanwhile, was the lone entry for the Rider Omega Pro Tri team in the kids division. And she didn’t let the team down as she captured the top spot in the 13-15 years old group by finishing in 41 minutes and eight seconds. Team Davao’s Pia Francesca Venus Suarez (43:38) and Annika Diandra Soguilon of Tri-Nitarian Wildcats (44:45) finished second and third, respectively.

The 13-15 years old category race featured a 400m swim, 9k bike and 3k run.
