SONNY’S SUSPENSION
The Ombudsman’s order to suspend Toledo City Mayor John Henry “Sonny” Osmeña for one year on charges of grave abuse of authority had netizens blaming politics for the incident.
Boyet Vero posted on Facebook, “Too many political battles fought and won. Is this the Waterloo of the astute political giants in Cebu politics?”
Francisco Benemerito said, “This is the result of too much politics. If this is true, the mayor have thought he owns the city.”
Nene Quimod also posted. “People, public officials or not, should remember that all wrong acts will always come out in the open.”
Manny Roa said, “Government officials must do good in their elected posts, or they’ll end up putting people’s money to waste.”
