Kogi-Q-Riway dumps Filmon, ties Dynacast on top of Div B

KOGI-Q-Riway 37 gained a share of the lead in the standings in Division B after they destroyed the 1994 Filmon Finishing Studio, 89-64, in the 22nd SHAABAA Basketball Tournament Powered by Common Ground last weekend at the Magis Eagles Arena.

Many-time league MVP Dave Lim was his dominant self once more as he nabbed a double-double, with 26 points and 18 rebounds. He also had three assists, two steals and two blocks in a stellar all-around performance that led Kogi-Q-Riway 37 to their seventh win in as many games and into a tie with the idle 2001 Dynacast.

In another Division B match, the 2002 San Remegio Beach Club slipped past the 1992 Silver Anniversary, 68-62.

Edmund Gaisano nearly had a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds for the victorious Batch 2002.

Meanwhile, 1996 White Gold Club beat 1993 King Properties, 67-50, as Gio Borromeo exploded for 25 points, four boards, two assists and two steals.
In Division C, 2009 Crossfit Subtero-Primo Builders grabbed the solo lead in the standings with a 78-49 win over 2005 Bizol. 2007 (6-1) Petron remained close behind with a 76-40 win over the 2003 Kitrol.

2010 Omega Pain Killer also bested 2004 Radar Tires, 55-45, while 2008 Cottonseed edged 2006 Prince Warehouse, 40-36.
