Cesafi selection faces PSL powerhouse F2 Logistics today

Philippine Superliga (PSL) powerhouse F2 Logistics Cargo Movers and the Cesafi All-Star Selection hope to put up a great show for the Cebuano fans as they face off in the first Cesafi All-Star Weekend today at the University of San Carlos (USC) Main gymnasium.

The game starts at 5 p.m.

Cargo Movers team owner Efren Uy said that the whole team will be in full force in their two matches against the Cesafi All-Stars today and tomorrow.

Even Aby Maraño, who is coming from a stint with the National team in a tournament in Thailand last week, will be playing for the team.

“Everyone will be coming,” Uy said.

The Cargo Movers, the 2016 Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Cup champion, is comprised of Maraño, Cha Cruz, Majoy Baron, Kim Dy, Desiree Cheng, Dawn Macandili, Kim Fajardo, CJ Saga, Cherry Nunag, Ara Galang, Tin Tiamzon, Fritz Gallenero, Aduke Ogunsanya and Shawna-Lei Santos.

The Cesafi All-Star team will be composed of Therese Rae Ramas, her fellow SWU-Phinma teammates Janelle Cabahug, Dyan Darantinao and Dij Rodriguez, University of Southern Philippines Foundation’s Jan Gayo and Cristylyn Seludo, USC’s Debbie Gamboa, Marie Malagar, and Cris Jezza Estose, Jackie Singson, Daniella Alfeche, Paula Maninang, Linlyn Torado and Sheen Durango of USJ-R, and Christer Claro and Ellen Joy Gumandoy of the University of Cebu.

Cesafi All-Star head coach Grace Antigua gave her wards a final instruction in their fourth and final practice yesterday afternoon at the USC Main gym.

“I just told them to enjoy and give their best. I don’t expect much because we all know what are the capabilities of Manila players,” Antigua said.
