CURFEW FOR KIDS
Many netizens lauded the enforcement of a 10 p.m. curfew for minors in seven barangays in Cebu City.
Facebook user Wynwyn Casquejo said, “As a Cebuano, I feel 100 percent safe now that this curfew has been implemented. It’s really scary to see children playing on the streets late at night. Can there be more police visibility, too?”
Oslec Jay Tan said, “All barangays should also have curfews so children will just stay in the comforts of their homes. I even think an 8 PM curfew is better.”
Bryllne AgabAm said, “I know some villages that have curfew ordinances but they can’t sustain it. Maybe some of the officials are scared or are just lazy to do their job. They should implement if fully; call the parents’ attention so they’ll be the one to instill discipline to their children.”
Max Elemino said, “Please include the other communities in Cebu City. Police should do patrols in areas where there are lots of teenagers staying on streets and on vacant lots.”
