THE 2015 People’s General got back on the winning track as it pummeled the 2007 Petron Global Carriers, 46-40, Wednesday night, in Division C of the 22nd SHAABAA Basketball Tournament Powered by Common Ground at the Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along Mango Avenue.
Batch 2015 held off repeated rallies by Batch 2007 near the end to nail the win and tie their victims for second place in the standings at 7-2 (win-loss).
Anton Chua led People’s General with 18 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals while Julito Pogoy chipped in 12.
In other Division C games, the 2006 Prince Warehouse and the 2005 Bizol moved up to 6-3 after beating their respective opponents.
Bizol creamed the 2003 Kitrol, 38-27, behind Aaron Uy’s 14-point, three-rebound, two-assist, two-steal performance.
Prince Warehouse, on the other hand, routed the 2004 Radar Tires, 55-34, with Jan Galo exploding for 29 points.
2013 Hyksos also creamed the 2011 Bling Nation, 58-41, while the 2010 Omega Pain Killer trumped the 2014 Bling Nation, 57-52.
In the lone Division B game, the 1994 Filmon Finishing Studio nipped the 1992 Silver Anniversary, 35-31.
