A MISSION left unsettled by Smashtime’s late torch bearer, Fritz Albores, will come into fruition today at Racquetzone Sports Center as badminton fanatics celebrate the bond that has been fortified by the sport for generations.
The 3rd Smashtime Badminton Tournament is 99 entries strong – 198 racquet wielding warriors eager to smash shuttlecocks in the spirit of fair competitive badminton.
Ranging from beginners to hard-hitting varsity players, matches in levels G-, G+, F-, F+, E- are assured of fun in the courts today. A fellowship dinner where players from Smashtime, Baddicts Stars, Cube, CoolKidz, Drop 9, Catmon Lil Baddicts, Danao Smashers, Mactan Poonazone, Patts, Mamurakay, Court 11 Badminton Club, Metrosports, Aboitiz, CEPBF, Sogod, Catmon, Naga, Barili, Ormoc, UV, and CDU-Medicine will get to interact and establish new friendships.
