Tomas, more than 60 employees undergo drug test

Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña was among the 60 City Hall officials and employees who took the random drug tests conducted by the Cebu City Office on Substance Abuse Prevention (Cosap).

Osmeña said he had been adamant in terminating employees that tested positive for drug use.

Cosap chief Garry Lao said casual employees will immediately be fired if found positive. Regular employees will have to undergo due process and be referred to Human Resource Development Office if found positive.

Yesterday, Cosap conducted random drug tests on 300 personnel of the Department of General Services.
