AFTER stunning Hougang FC in the semifinals of the RHB Singapore Cup, Global Cebu FC will resume its campaign in the Philippines Football League (PFL) by hosting JP Voltes Marikina FC on Oct. 15 at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC).
Global Cebu FC advanced to the finals of the RHB Singapore Cup after beating Hougang FC, 2-1, in their second match of the two-leg semifinals last Saturday in Singapore.
The Cebu-based team earned a finals berth by having a higher aggregate score of 4-3 over Hougang FC.
Global Cebu will face Albirex Niigata FC in the finals.
Global Cebu, known as the “People’s Club,” will play against JP Voltes for the fourth time in the PFL.
JP Voltes leads their head-to-head matchup with Global Cebu, 2-1.
Global Cebu is currently at fourth place in the team standings with 34 points. It has nine wins, seven draws and five losses.
