Lapu gives monetary rewards to board and Bar passers

ANOTHER batch of residents who passed the board and Bar examinations were given cash gifts by the Lapu-Lapu City government.

The 42 successful examinees received P5,000 each.

Mayor Paz Radaza handed over the checks to the successful examinees last Tuesday at the mayor’s conference room.

During the city’s Taxpayer’s night at the Hoops Dome last September 6, four topnotchers were awarded with monetary rewards. They are Vianca Pearl Amores and Marianito Jesus Del Rio, who topped the May 2017 CPA board examination, and Brylle Gilbuena who ranked first in the March 2017 mechanical engineering licensure exam. They received P100,000 each. Nona Casey Baring received P80,000 for ranking second in the June 2017 nursing licensure examination.

On the second week of September, another eight placers and passers received their cash gifts. Danielin Dico pocketed P60,000 for placing fifth in the architecture board exam; seventh placers Charmelyn Dali-on and Iris Elline Querubin in physical and occupational therapy board exam got P40,000 each; Janice Bangoy received P5,000 for passing the nursing board exam; Jose Andrianne F. Tumusok took home P5,000 for passing electronics engineering board exam; Sherrame Tisoy received P5,000 for passing the professional teachers board exam; Florleane Sacares got P5,000 for passing the Bar exam; and Anna Mae C. Torrejos, P5,000 for hurdling the professional teachers board exam.

The Lapu-Lapu City Council recently approved an ordinance giving monetary rewards ranging from P100,000 to P5,000 to the residents of Lapu-Lapu City who are board passers.

“Again this is our way of thanking the deserving board examination passers for bringing pride to the Historic Resort City of Lapu-Lapu and we hope this will inspire other students to study well,” said Mayor Radaza.
