Nadine Lustre asks for respect

ACTRESS and singer Nadine Lustre has asked for respect as their family mourns the death of her younger brother, Isaiah Lustre.

She took to Instagram yesterday to relay her message to her followers.

“Hi. May I request everyone to please refrain from posting/ reposting photos and videos of me from the funeral…. Let’s give respect. This is for EVERYONE. Thank you,” Lustre  posted on her Instagram story.

Isaiah, her 16-year-old brother, died reportedly because of suicide five days ago in their house in Quezon City.

In another Instagram story, Lustre posted this message for her critics: “To everyone who’s been judging me for the past few days, remember this.. You will always see me UP but never DOWN. So wag niyong hanapin. Get lost please.”

“And to everyone who’s been sharing me stories of weakness.. I’m reading. Wait for me.. I GOT YOU,” she added.  Nona Clemente, an aunt, posted on her Twitter account @nonaclemente to ask for prayers for Isaiah.

“Please lift a prayer for my nephew Isaiah Lustre. Eternal rest grant unto him Oh Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon him. #Keepgoing,” Clemente said.

Another Twitter post made by Clemente stated: “Thank you for all the love and prayers. May we respectfully request to allow us to have this one last time with our dear Isaiah privately. #Keepgoing.” She also posted on her Instagram a photo of singer Gary Valenciano who visited the wake of Isaiah.

“We see you smiling Isaiah. Thank you for the words of hope, love and faith @garyvalenciano. Thank you for taking time to be with us together with your family. We love you all! #Keepgoing,” Clemente added.

Lustre  and her boyfriend James Reid have posted on their Instagram accounts a semi-colon with the hashtag #Keepgoing. Their closest friends, including Brent Jackson, Kiana Valenciano and Sam Concepcion also did the same.

The hashtag #Keepgoing became a trending topic online, with solid JaDine fans expressing support for Lustre  and family by using the hashtag in their posts.

Earlier, Lustre posted on her Instagram story: “You are stronger than depression.”
