Conference set to tackle new developments in dental implants

A WORLD-renowned oral maxillofacial surgeon will hold a conference in Manila.

Dr. Peter Moy, a leading authority and sought-after lecturer on dental implants, will hold a special one-day conference on November 19 at the Rizal Ballroom in Makati Shangri-La.

A protégé of Dr. Per-Ingvar Branemark who is considered as the father of modern dental implantology, and the first holder of the Nobel Biocare Endowed Chair in Surgical Implant Dentistry, Dr. Moy plays a major role in the advancement of dental implant.

He was appointed co-director of UCLA Dental Implant Center in 1991, and assumed sole directorship of the center in 2003.

He is also an associate editor of the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is the immediate past president of the Academy of Osseointegration.

Dr. Moy’s conference will have two sessions — lecture on the latest developments in dental implants in the morning, and a live dental implant surgery in the afternoon.

This special conference is presented by Straumann Philippines, the world’s leader in implant, restorative, and regenerative dentistry, and in partnership with the Philippine Prosthodontic Society and Philippine Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.
