THE University of Southern Philippines Foundation completed a clean sweep of the elimination round in the under-19 division of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas CYBL 3rd Conference last weekend at the SHS-Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along Mango Avenue.
USPF defeated PAREF-Springdale, 70-62, for its fourth win in as many games and head to the semifinals with a lot of momentum on its side.
It will be facing off against the University of the Visayas (UV) in the Final Four while fellow unbeaten Ateneo de Cebu takes on WJC Auto Sales in other pairing.
Springdale rounded off their stint with a 54-41 win over the University of San Jose-Recoletos and a 43-34 beating of the Abellana National School, to finish with a 2-2 card.
In the under-15 division, Don Bosco notched a 55-50 win over USPF in the under-15 division 1A while UV and the University of San Carlos South also claimed victories over their respective opponents in the under-15 division 1B.
UV dismantled One on One A, 99-18, while USC South destroyed ANS, 67-28.
In the under-15 division 2-A, Mandaue Comprehensive National High School edged One on One B, 58-54, while DSMNHS/Labangon won over SCSIT, 64-40, in the under-15 division 2-C.
